Weekend Report
Ed and I house/dog sat at his coworker's house this weekend. It's quite the gig. We did it for about five days this summer, and really had a good time (see: pool).
B & C joined us for pizza and beers on Friday night. Very fun to catch up with them. Amy Chu was in town with her husband Chris. We got them at the airport Sat., got lunch, Ed gave a Capitol tour, and then they hit the Museum of Natural History. We went home and grabbed some stuff we had forgotten. That's the only challenge with housesitting--it's not your house, so all of your stuff isn't there. :)
We enjoyed Mimi and Philip's engagement party on Sat. night.
Sunday we had Amy and Chris over for brunch and then swam and hung out. We then showed them Arlington National Cemetary before dropping Amy at her conference.
I did zero homework. Oh well...not so much into my classes this semester.
Ed is off today. I am at work. Boo.
Oh a few people have asked about when we get into our new condo. It will not be after the first of the year. The delay has essentially been that in order get the building up to code, they have make sure that not very much water penetrates the building (apparently too much does now). Apparently what they have tried still allows too much penetration, so they are looking at different options. Supposedly the building is bascially all finished, but some of the options require tearing down some of the interior walls. Anyway, we should know more in the next week or two.
