Random Thoughts

So I saw a short plump man wearing Burbery pants—in a wide, bold plaid. It was something.

Also walking today, I caught a view of myself in the mirror. Looking good…wait what’s that on top of my head? My glasses. Nice. Funny, though, I put my contacts in this a.m. What on earth possessed me to put my glasses on my head and wear them around the house, to the Metro, on the Metro and not even notice until I was 2 minutes from work and only noticed because I happen to see them in the mirror?!?!?!

Last night I went to the gym. I thought I would try the “new machines”. Remember the informercials for the Gazelle? It is sort of like those, but made by Cybex, so a little sturdier. I lasted 15 minutes. It officially kicked my ass. Has anyone else used these?!? It is no regular elliptical.

After my workout, I got this crazy energy spurt—rare, I know—and went on a manic cleaning frenzy until 1 a.m. I was on a roll! The place looks great, and I feel better about it being clean.

  • Would the workout be Arc trainer like? I've done that and 1. it took me 15 minutes of attempting to determine what "direction" I was going only to succumb to the reality I wasn't going in any direction and 2. it also kicked my ass.

Only when I feel borderline Wonder Womanish do I attempt it now. It's like those extremely deceiving "moving steps" stair climbers. My arse will never forgive me for that one.

  • Yes, I used to use a gazelle-like machine at the YMCA, but ONLY when all the ellipticals were taken - a last resort type of thing. They are much, much more strenuous than the ellipticals. Just thinking about it makes my heart rate rise.

"bywuh" is the word verication I must type before this comment will be published. It seems like "bywuh" should be a real word. Like "booyah." This week, I'm going to exclaim "bywuh!" as many times as possible. We'll see if it catches on.

  • I am laughing hysterically at your glasses post. The kinds of stories that make me miss having an Ang around. :)
