Updates
I feel like I need to catch the peeps up with all the exciting--or not so exciting--happenings of my life.
This past weekend we went to NY to see Danny and Patrick. It was a really fun time. Danny has a great atypical NY apartment (aka its big) that accomodates us well. We have taken to calling it our B &B as Dan whipped up one heck of a round of pancakes on Sat. a.m.
I think we walked like 10 miles on Saturday (isn't Manhatten 10 miles long, so that might be an exageration?). I love just walking around in NY and popping into this little boutique or coffee shop or whatever.
We saw Curtains on broadway, which was really a fun show. David Hyde Pierce was not in it, and rumor has it he has left the show. We had a moment of panic when Dan's friend, Todd, lost his ticket within about 30 seconds of buying it. We were searching through the trash and on the ground. Todd got back in line to see if there was anything he can do, and after about a minute of being in line, a man approached a security guard (SG) saying he had found a ticket. Luckily, Todd had told SG that he had lost it, and (SG) was able to point Todd out. Anyway, the show was very fun. It's a classic musical and I suspect it will be a high school theater department hit in about 10 years.
Tuesday night, Ed's coworker randomly had extra tickets to Maroon 5. Rock concerts are really a great release. I thought I would know like one song, but was suprised how many I did know (more like five...Ed knew like seven). Anyway, that was a good time.
Yesterday morning I fell over on the Metro and crashed into this waif of a girl (no, she didn't break). I got up for my stop and the train was almost stopped and I reached for the pole. I was about a half inch within reach when the train lurched and I total lost my balance and fell onto this girl behind me. I apologized and she was totally nice about it.
Work has been in busy/stressful. I feel like I am in meetings all day long and no time to get my work done. It's hard. Hopefully next week it will settle down. School is going fine. I have taken to skimming my readings which so far has proved to not affect my grades.
